The Pendleton County Fire Department celebrated an exciting milestone with the grand opening of its new fire station, making an important investment in the safety and well-being of the community. The new facility provides local firefighters with a modern, dedicated space to respond to emergencies and continue serving residents throughout Pendleton County.

The grand opening was an opportunity for community members to come together and recognize the hard work and dedication of the firefighters who answer the call whenever they are needed. From structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical emergencies and other calls for assistance, the Pendleton County Fire Department plays an important role in protecting local families, businesses and neighborhoods.

Please see some of the quotes below from the Grand Opening Event.

Yesterday was one of the most gratifying days of my time in public service here in Pendleton County.

A couple of years ago, we had to take on the task of creating a fire district and building a new firehouse. This Fiscal Court did a fantastic job from start to finish, and I’m honored to have been part of it.

This building shows what dedication to your community looks like. We are blessed to have the men and women who serve our county and will call this building home.

This firehouse on the hill is a symbol of our county moving forward in emergency services.

I’m blessed to have served alongside the members of this Fiscal Court over the last eight years. We’ve accomplished a lot together, but this may be our greatest.

I had the pleasure, along with the other magistrate and the County judge, to officially open the new Pendleton County fire house with several residents and two of my grandchildren. This is a project we can all be proud of and that helps build our county. I know this is just one of three very good departments in our county. I can't thank the volunteers who dedicate their time to all the fire departments enough for helping keep one part of our emergency services running smoothly.

It was a pleasure to attend the opening of the new Pendleton County Fire Department. It will be an asset to our community. We need strong emergency services in our county. I look forward to working with the department and all our emergency services as the new County/Judge Executive.

Today, I attended the grand opening and open house of the Pendleton County Fire Department! As most of you know, my husband, Matthew, has proudly served on the fire department for a few years.

Recently, he was promoted to Lieutenant Safety Officer, making this event even more special for our family. During the ceremony, he had the honor of participating in the traditional hose uncoupling, a symbolic event that officially opens a new firehouse and marks the beginning of its service to the community. As a newly appointed officer, it was especially meaningful for him to take part in this historic tradition. This grand opening was truly a milestone for Pendleton County, as it marks the establishment of the first countywide fire department in our county.

History was made in our community today, and I couldn't be more proud that my husband was part of such a significant moment. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to make this vision a reality. Here's to a safer and stronger future for Pendleton County!
A special thanks to those that came out to support my husband today!
