BROOKSVILLE, Ky. — September 1, 2026

Bracken County has a new Judge Executive. Gov. Andy Beshear has appointed Craig Miller to serve as the new Bracken County Judge Executive, following the recent resignation of Tina Teegarden.
Miller brings experience in Bracken County government to the position, having previously served as a county magistrate. His time on the Bracken County Fiscal Court has given him firsthand experience with the county's operations, financial matters, infrastructure needs and other issues affecting local residents. State and county records have previously listed Miller as a member of the Bracken County Fiscal Court.
Miller now takes over the remainder of Teegarden's term and assumes responsibility for the county's administrative affairs. The Judge Executive plays a central role in county government, including execution of Fiscal Court ordinances and resolutions, oversight of contracts and significant financial responsibilities, as well as economic development and appointments to county boards and commissions.
The appointment marks a change in leadership for Bracken County while also providing some continuity, with Miller moving from his previous position on the Fiscal Court into the Judge Executive's office. The Bracken County government website currently lists Craig Miller as Bracken County Judge Executive, reflecting the change in leadership.
Miller will work with the Bracken County Fiscal Court and county staff as he begins his tenure, with issues such as roads, county finances, public services, economic development and other local priorities continuing to be part of the county's agenda.
