Turner Ridge Baptist Church, 2045 Highway 22 West, Falmouth
The children’s message, The Baptism of Jesus, told of how even Jesus was baptized by John to set the example of obedience to God’s word. Brooke Florer read Matthew 3:13-15 followed by special music, No Longer Slaves, that told about becoming a child of God.
Bro. Dale’s message, The Ordinance of Baptism, was filled with scripture that told the why, when and how of being baptized.
Our evening service is one of the most anticipated services of the year, The River Baptism Service, held at The Gravett farm! This year was our 5th service, and it was an amazing time of worship. Bro. Dale began the evening with a message from God’s word, “Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit’ …” Acts 2:38. There was a time of prayer and commitment, then we went down by the riverbank where 17 were baptized, (including 1 rededication). The evening concluded with dinner on the grounds.

We celebrated our 179th Homecoming at Blanket Creek Baptist Church. We had amazing music by Tony Doane. Our guest speaker was Dr. Dwyane Norman from the Ky Baptist Association. He read from Matthew 9:35-38. We are supposed to share the good word, not keep it to ourselves. To serve God we need to be willing to go where Jesus went and feel what Jesus felt which was great Compassion and be willing to pray as Jesus prayed. Afterwards we had a wonderful lunch provided by the ladies of the church.
If you don’t have a home church, please join us at Blanket Creek Baptist Church. Sunday School 10:00 am and worship at 11:00 am.
