BRACKEN COUNTY, KY — The burn ban issued on September 2, 2026, for Bracken County has officially been lifted.
According to an Executive Order issued by the Bracken County Judge-Executive, the ban was lifted pursuant to the authority granted to the Bracken County Fiscal Court and in accordance with the legislative purpose of KRS Chapter 149.
The order states that the area has received sufficient rainfall to abate the hazardous conditions that prompted the original burn ban. Please see the order attatched below.
Residents may now resume open burning; however, everyone is encouraged to continue exercising caution and following all applicable state and local regulations when conducting outdoor burns.
